Well, now then...I haven't posted anything in a while. Shocking. This is something I do frequently, go into hiding. Why, because some of us just like the idea of being invisible for a while. It's how we reconcile that the world is ticking without our talking. Maybe, it's a mood...but there is no mood ring around to confirm this. Bio-rhythm! That's it...whatever that is exactly. In any case it is probably in bad taste that there was no follow-up to the previous post...you know the one where we got dissed by a young gun who got a better gig. So I should let you know, Concert on the Lake was a great show! The new guy was very remarkable and only had three days to learn the tunes...very impressive. It's a good thing since there were several thousand people there; he did well under the pressure. So a good time was had by all and we made it through with flying colors.

I just hate it when I feel the need to say something profound and really have nothing to say. It's like my brain has gone soupy (shut up) and I am just bobbing for thought and it's like getting eggshells out of your freshly cracked eggs. There they are and just as you think you have it....the sucker just slips away.

There is one thing though...we need fans on our Face Book because that is what a band is suppose to have and we have not been so good in the social networking universe. So I will just leave it at that. Lantana is doing great, the shows have been awesome. We have another show this Saturday night down at One Arts Plaza, we are recording some tunz and we need fans. Any takers???

When Commitment Is Just A Word

It's not even tomorrow as I write this little bloggie thing. I really didn't want to write this until Monday sometime, but I have just spent the better part of the last two hours emailing about 200mb of email content. Why? Why on Sunday night would I be doing such a thing when I could be dreaming of meadows and sugary things? I'll tell you why, because today people do not value the word "commitment". Now this happens to be one of my biggest pet peeves and you can read all about it in another blog called The Seven Easiest Lies which is where my peeves are listed. But all of this is to say that one of our musician has decided to take a job that will prevent him from being at our very large show this coming Thursday. This show has an expected crowd of 3000 people said to gather beneath the stars and just listen to the music. Our music. OMG! So in a nanosecond we have picked up a new guy who I am told plays rock solid, I really pray he does. We are having a bit of a FREAK OUT session...but we will get over it...if things go well. If they don't....I am liable to split in two and one of me will try to talk the other me into not using her ninja powers on said musician. But the nija me will be too strong and will prevail over the nicer more balanced me then ninja me will go on a rampage...we just don't need to go there yet. For now, I will remain one person and trust that the 42 individual emails I just sent the new musician will give him all he needs to learn 90 minutes worth of material by this Thursday. THIS THURSDAY!!! I need to pray, " dear God, please pour out all your heavenly blessings on our new guy, he is going to need it. Please step in front of me prior to me splitting in two and opening up and dishing a serious can of whoopass on... you know...and could you put the pedal to the medal please? Amen."

Biz on Lantana

OMG! I have succumbed to the effects of social networking, affiliate marketing, and tweeting my every brain spurt. So here I plan to scribble the most inside dish on everything Lantana, since that is what I do. Lantana is my girl band (country music trio) that started unexpectedly in 2002 and has managed to carve a small trail in the world of country music. As a wife and mother of two I have had moments when I just wanted to quit and couldn't. There are times that I had to pinch myself because it was so surreal, it has been somewhat of a love/hate relationship. What isn't right? So I plan to be totally transparent here and shamelessly promote Lantana, only because I can and I want to. If you find this irritating, I can only advise that you wash with warm soapy water and call your doctor.
